“I’ve been blessed to document Chicago’s music and culture, but the movement work that has taken place here is absolutely life changing. My work addresses the immediate political issues the city faces as we continue to try to better the lives of Black and Brown people. My recent photography captures the essence of social justice struggles and triumphs during a pandemic in Chicago, and shows how we are slowly and surely heading towards better days because of the movement work being done.”
